As a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity, you gain invaluable experiences and skills which will help you succeed long after the college days are over. Our members have the opportunity to serve on a committee or, eventually, as an officer on an executive board. Each leadership role provides members with the responsibilities to maintain the operating state of the chapter. Ever managed forty men who are getting paid? Try managing forty men who pay to be there; an invaluable experience. It is important that members are given the opportunity to be leaders. And to facilitate our growth and development as leaders, Sigma Nu implements the LEAD Program.

What is the LEAD Program?
LEAD is a four-phase member development program. LEAD is an acronym for Leadership, Ethics, Achievement, and Development. The purpose of LEAD is to develop ethical leaders for society, brothers who will make an impact on their chapter, campus and community. Each of the phases includes a unique curriculum aimed to strengthen each man’s mind, heart and character. What makes LEAD so special is the four-year program that is provided to all of our members that will train you in a number of areas that the average college student does not get the chance to experience.  Sessions include exercises, simulations and discussions to highlight leadership issues students will face while in school and later in their lives and careers. Sigma Nu Fraternity is able to implement the program through the generous support of the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation, which is in turn supported by Sigma Nu alumni. We believe that our LEAD Program builds better men through interactive simulations, lectures, workshops, and mentoring to help them achieve their own personal dreams and ambitions.

What will I learn?
The LEAD program offers a unique opportunity to gain or improve skills that will help our members succeed not only in the Fraternity, but in all areas of academics as well as their professional life.  In our freshman phase of LEAD our new members get a chance to improve their leadership skills as well as learn tools to more effectively manage their time. All other phases of LEAD being preparing our members for moving on into their careers, with sessions such as "7 Habits of Highly effective people", "Accountability", "Myers-Briggs" test, skills to improve your networking ability, and much more.  We also provide an all-chapter LEAD phase in which we invite our entire chapter as well as other members of our campus and community to participate.  In All-Chapter LEAD we provided facilitators to and information to better education our members on ways to live a more fulfilling life while in college.  This includes sessions such as Health and Wellness, Spirituality, Goal-Setting, as well as many others.
